Notice: As with anything
downloaded from the internet, you must take steps to check each file for
contamination by virus. CompuDoc take every precaution, as does our web site
host, but even the most secure sites have been hacked. We recommend that you install
and maintain a good anti-virus package, some of which are AVG, McAfee, Norton
and Sophos.
CompuDoc 8
Existing CompuDoc 7 users may prefer to
download the CompuDoc 8 Pre-registration Utility
before they install CompuDoc 8. This utility allows you to pay for the CompuDoc
8 upgrade, and obtain the registration codes. before CompuDoc 8 is installed.
The migration from CompuDoc 7 to CompuDoc 8 will take at least a half hour, and
in some cases two hours. CompuDoc 7 must be closed on all machines during the
upgrade, which means that the migration will probably take place outside normal
working hours. Therefore, the CompuDoc accounts department will not be available
to issue the codes immediately.
This facility allows you to have the CompuDoc 8 registration codes available
before you start.
CompuDoc 8 files

CompuDoc 8 MBS table update

CompuDoc 8 Pre-registration
Utility
A utility that allows you obtain the version 8 codes
before the installation takes place. This allows the update payment ($699
for version 7 users) to be processed before the migration from version 7
takes place.

To extract file from a self extracting file, simply double-click on the file - the installation programme 'knows' where
the files to be replaced are located.
Version 7 files
CompuDoc 7.5 upgrade file, for users whose
current version is between 7.0
and 7.4, inclusive.
The latest upgrade file for version 7.5,
including the data conversion utility that is necessary to upgrade version 7.0
.. 7.4 data to 7.5.
Do not download unless
version 7.0 .. 7.4 has previously been installed. If your present version is

installation, at the bottom of this section.

CompuDoc 7.5 complete installation file, for users who
do not have CompuDoc 7 installed.
The complete installation file for version 7.5,
only necessary if you do not have any version 7. If you have 7.0 to 7.5 then

same purpose.

Version 7 utilities
CompuDocOpLock.exe.
has no installation programme - it may be run from anywhere.
CompuDocOpLock.exe is a
Windows NT only (NT 4 & Windows 2000) utility that makes numerous
changes to your Windows Registry, for the purpose of allowing the data
tables to be written to disk immediately, rather than at the Operating
System's discretion. This is NOT a self extracting file. This may be
used with CompuDoc 5.0 or greater.

ExtDataSetup.EXE
installs the version 7 external data table import\export programme
This setup programme contains ExtData75.exe,
a utility to import records from external sources, into CompuDoc 7. The most
common use for this utility is the importation of patient records from a
Patients.OUT file File name: ExtDataSetup.exe
(1,050 Kb).

DataUpgr7Setup.EXE
installs the 7 data Importer programme
This file is usually only used once, to import
data tables from earlier versions of CompuDoc into the version 7 format data

installs the 7.1 data table restructure programme

version 7.0 table structures.
