CompuDoc Medical
The Practice Management System

Note: The latest version of CompuDoc 6 is 6.0.1.90, as of 20th May, 2003.

The files on this page are for users of CompuDoc 5 or 6. Do not download the installation files if you are not an existing user. Versions earlier than 7 cannot be registered.

Notice:  As with anything downloaded from the internet, you must take steps to check each file for contamination by virus. CompuDoc take every precaution, as does our web site host, but even the most secure sites have been hacked. We recommend a good anti-virus package, some of which are Dr. Solomon's, Thunderbyte, Norton Anti Virus and Norman Virus Control.

This page contains links to files that are available for FTP download. Please read the Contents section below, to learn which files you need or would prefer. Then click (once) on the link (underlined and coloured text) to take you to an individual description of each of the files. Having found the file, click (once) on the appropriate link beside "File name:" to begin downloading that file to your computer.

You will then be asked if you wish to save the file to your hard disk, or open the file. Please save the file to your hard disk, noting the folder name, so you can find the file after downloading.

A definition of the file formats is available at the bottom of this page. All file sizes are approximate.

Contents

The Version 6.0 files listed here will prevent 5.1 or earlier versions from running.  We have added numerous facilities that required our altering the table structure, which means that once 6.0 is installed, versions earlier than 5.2 will not run.

Some of these files are self extracting compressed files that contain other files that may or may not be .exe files.  To extract file from a self extracting file, simply double-click on the file - the installation programme 'knows' where the files to be replaced are located.

  • CompuDocOpLock.exe is a Windows NT only (NT 4 & Windows 2000) utility that makes numerous changes to your Windows Registry, for the purpose of allowing the data tables to be written to disk immediately, rather than at the Operating System's discretion. This is NOT a self extracting file.  This may be used with CompuDoc 5.0 or greater.

Note: The Medical Director brand name is used with the permission of it's owners.
